Constructing Medieval Furniture by Daniel Diehl - Free PDF

The furnishings in this book are among the finest surviving examples from the golden age of chivalry. These original, priceless pieces are housed in public and private collections throughout the United States and England. Accompanying each photograph is a description of the item and its current location, in many cases still in the English castle or cathedral for which it was originally made. A few pieces, however, are probably from a north European country other than England.

Considering the cultural interchange, peaceful and otherwise, that took place among England, France, and the Low Countries throughout much of the Middle Ages, similar furniture styles must have appeared simultaneously throughout this part of the world.
